As a Palm Springs-based receiving warehouse, we understand that some big commercial vendors do not deliver to residential addresses. These vendors only ship to receivers with loading docks where personnel are standing by to receive these goods. Because this process could be costly if not done properly, a receiving warehouse specializes in the time and detail management portion of you receiving your merchandise. The cost alone to afford to receive, inspect, store, delivery, movers, fuel, vehicles, insurance, etc. is a large feat to overcome. For this reason, the majority of designers outsource these tasks so they can focus on what they do best, design.

Receiving Warehouse:

At Ocotillo Services, we offer a vital service to interior designers and anyone in need of a more efficient solution for receiving their furniture and other articles. We understand that your items may have traveled a great distance and may not have been treated with the care they deserve. Our receiving service is highly detailed and can be tailored to fit your specific project or purchase needs. This ensures peace of mind and eliminates any surprises during installation.

Our receiving warehouse will inspect incoming parcels visually and potentially physically before providing driver signatures to prevent any freight damage claim denial. We also verify specific quality and detail information based on the order information received from the client. This helps to avoid errors in ordering, shipping, and fulfillment. Our goal is to quickly correct any mistakes to keep your project on track. During this process, we take care of your delicate items as if they were our own. We can even resolve many minor imperfections in furniture and accessories on-site, free of charge. Any remaining damages or manufacturers’ imperfections are documented, and we promptly communicate them via your preferred contact method. From that point, we can assist in claims processing, outsourcing item repair, or returning the item to the vendor if necessary.

Claims Management:

At Ocotillo Services, we will gladly assist with any freight claims that need to be processed free of charge. Our receiving warehouse will assist with any solution necessary to make your claims process as smooth as possible, and if we can, we will handle each claim from start to finish.

Assembly:

To save you time and money, we offer furniture assembly at our warehouse, prior to your installation, at a much cheaper rate than you would traditionally pay for a moving company to do on the installation day, on site. We only charge an hourly rate of $50.00 per hour for assembly on items that are feasibly assembled and safely able to be transported and installed whilst fully assembled. Keep in mind that you would typically pay a traditional mover $55.00 per hour on site for assembly. As each and every piece is unique, this does require a varying amount of labor and skill that we are very well trained in and using our years of experience most definitely helps.

Storage:

We offer flexible consolidation storage to help with your fluctuating warehousing requirements. Unlike a traditional storage unit, Ocotillo Services will help you stay organized with our flexible storage program that allows you to only pay for the literal space you’re utilizing. With our detailed inventory management system, we can also accommodate several simultaneous projects at the same time. This efficient and cost-effective process provides a convenient and flexible way to scale your business while maintaining complete control. You pay for only the storage space used. Ultimately, as your storage needs scale or decline, your account adjusts proportionally.

In a desert region with heat often exceeding 120° F in the summer, our climate-controlled storage warehouse is a must. The warehouse is typically kept up to 20º-30º F cooler during the summer season. And for those more sensitive pieces, we have a fully temperature-controlled area as well.

Delivery Services and White Glove Options:

When you’ve finally decided to have your belongings or project delivered, we’ll set up delivery at a time that is most convenient for you. Believe it or not, the most convenient part of this service is that we outsource the movers for you. That’s right, we don’t use our own in-house movers. We’ve found that in order to keep our costs low and standards high we use only the BEST moving companies within the valley. Another benefit of doing this is to ultimately save you money. We have the upper hand by doing this which allows us to bargain with these local companies to see that you get the best deal. Also, in our experience, moving companies have a greater tendency to go above and beyond to please YOU in order to earn our business on the next installation project. It’s all about give and take. You have the option to keep us as your single point of payment or can pay them directly for their services rendered. There is never any upcharge for this arranged service.

An Ocotillo Services white glove delivery includes inside delivery, room of choice, and dunnage removal completed by professional movers, all while wearing booties, gloves and other protective gear to keep your home and items pristine.

Protection Services:

Along with taking care of our customers and really going the extra mile for service, we offer quite a few unheard-of industry leading services that we are quite proud of. Innovation and customer satisfaction have led our organization in many new directions including the introduction of these services.

· Vendor Disguising

Over time, we’ve found that some of our designer clients like to have vendor concealment. Obviously, this is done for many reasons but we always respect the request and remove all labels and use a seamless method to cover larger logos on individual items. By doing so, these logos are to never be seen again.

· Fabric & Rug Protection

To help provide consumer satisfaction with new or vintage furniture items, we work directly with the nationally known company Fiber-Seal. Through collaboration, we proudly offer a protectant for fabrics, carpeting, and rugs, which would repel liquids and keep fibers cleaner longer—without changing the color or texture! In addition, having a convenient local and mobile service center will assure that for more difficult problems or spotting emergencies, help is just a phone call away. But even more impressive than the product itself is the NO CHARGE service calls! Fiber-Seal provides service calls FREE of charge for a full 12-months after the product application.
